I like the look and feel of the bulletin board. Reminds me of home. http://www.crewstart.com/ubb/images/icons/rolleyes.gif
I presume one link deserves another. Have a look at The Professional Pilots RUmour NEtwork (http://www.pprune.org/cgibin/Ultimate.cgi) and tell me what you think.

Why, Captain...
Imagine Fyneding you here, I would've thought PPRuNe kept you all tied up. Maybe, you could stop in from time to time--just to have a little fun--sure beats playing babysitter! http://www.crewstart.com/ubb/images/icons/grin.gif
Besides, you can afford to step away for a while...you house is still the place to be; you're the host with the most!!
XOXO

Capt. Gossip,
I saw the snub in PPRuNe... http://www.crewstart.com/ubb/images/icons/frown.gif
That's a Fyne attitude! If it weren't for a link on your excellent page (CrewStart.com), I wouldn't even know that PPRuNe existed! I'm disappointed, to say the LEAST. http://www.crewstart.com/ubb/images/icons/frown.gif

mriya225,
you have probably seen the reply from me at PPRuNe? I wonder if the Captain himself has to add something!

Capt. Gossip,
I was writting mine as you posted yours... here's mine: In response to heat in PPRuNe--
Virginia Plane,
I can see where you might think that I was behind crewstart.com, but that is not the case. Although, I wouldn't mind being able to
lay claim to having created a site good enough to be used as a home page (which is my only connection to CrewStart). In fact, it was through a link on CrewStart that I was able to find PPRuNe (which I consider to be the highest quality aviation forum on the web).
fifthtower,
I am odd. And in a world full of idiots and crowd mentality cowards, I take great pride in having enough moxy to "walk my talk". You
may not always agree with me, but you always know where I stand. Futhermore, I can be counted on to be truthful about where I stand, inspite of the fact that it may mean finding myself in an uncomfortable position. Although you almost cetainly didn't intend it, I'm going to accept your gentle barb with a certain degree of satisfaction.
All,
You, correctly, point out that there was no outright hostility from Capt. PPRuNe.There was, however, an inhospitable energy (ie. http://www.crewstart.com/ubb/images/icons/rolleyes.gif [rolleyes] http://www.crewstart.com/ubb/images/icons/rolleyes.gif ) that I found unwarranted; I thought my post here had made that clear. And it was only after the CrewStart post had been moved, to this topic, with a rather curt explanation, that I registered that disappointment.
I have come to thoroughly enjoy all of the members that comprise the PPRuNe community, and this includes those posts made by Capt. PPRuNe as a member. I can't blame anyone for hoping to create an equally intelligent, thoughtful and articulate forum community of their own. Additionally, I find nothing inherently wrong with hoping that it might become a "sister site", if you will, to PPRuNe. Whether or not that was the intention is anyone's guess.
If I have misinterpreted Capt. PPRuNe's post, a swift apology will follow. But it was not an offhanded interpretation; I genuinely believed it to be mildly ill-natured. Still (as much as I dislike this fact) I am not infallible. If it is made clear to me that I was wrong, a genuinely humble expression of apology will result.

I can't see any good reason why both this site and Pprune cannot co-exist in harmony. Pprune is an excellent forum and I sincerely believe Crewstart will also develop in the same way.

You right Exeng,
It turns out to be much ado about nothing, as no offense was mean by Capt. PPRuNe. I had simply misinterpreted the spirit of his post.
Since then, the good Capt.PPRuNe has proven himself to be a gentleman of the highest caliber and I hope he can find the time to slip away from PPRuNe occassionally to visit with us here. http://www.crewstart.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif

This board will eventually assume its own identity, and the links (both ways) with PPRuNe will be advantageous to both. Right now, there's hardly enough of us (71, as of 1337 UTC Sunday) to start a good fight.
I occasionally post over there, when I can add something to the conversation (not often, naturally) and seem to be accepted even though I am (a) not a pilot and (b) a journalist. I understand their dislike for journos as many of our type are sensationalists and, too often, just plain stupid.

I agree River City as more people hear about this board it will assume its own identity and this will take time but I feel sure that it will get there in the end. And I look forward to many a good fight in the not to distant future.
