Our cockpit crew has ear plugs to protect their ears against the noise. I am worried for my ears as well! Does anybody have figures about the maximum noise which is allowed and are their companies where the cabin crew have ear plugs as well??

I don't know what the company and stuff has to say, but why don't u just goto a stop over store and buy some ear plugs. I often wear them during take off and landing when sitting in the back of a dc9 and no one has said anything to me yet.

I know that within our company some collegues have some kind of earplug which only filters out the background noises (ie sucking water drains, whistling doors etc). They can be worn throughout the flight, but cost a helluvalot money!
