Yesterday evening it was raining very hard on the belgian highways... and guess what.. I had a car crash... nearly instinctively I 'braced for impact' when I saw that there was no way to avoid a lorry. Luckily for me I did this because my airbags didn't deploy...
The guy who helped me getting out of my car said it was a wonder that I was still alive... I don't have even a scratch... http://www.crewstart.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif)

Glad to hear you are oké!
But be careful, consequences of a car crash can rise after some time, so be sure to have a complete check, especially on your neck. And if you feel dizzy or feel numbness on your fingers go see a doctor!
Have some rest for a few days, until you are sure everithing is really oké!
Take care!

Thanks all,
but you know the severeness of aviation...the show must go on... I had already the whole month off in September because of a damaged nerve in my elbow as a pax opened the door of the toilet too quickly without seeing... :§
2000 : still 3 months ...:§

you were very lucky, Belg1972, thank God! but please think about yourself and do wait until you are fit to fly again, after making sure you are 100 % ok physically and when you feel ready to go back to work. so what if you were sick for a month in September?! think about yourself, health is more important than work.
Take care and the best of luck!

Hi Belg1972!
did you shout "brace for impact" as well? No just joking, but I wanted you to let you know that we are happy too that you're save!

Did you consider requesting a flight to Lourdes? http://www.crewstart.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif
Just joking! Take Airmile's advice, you could regret it when you are older. Problems with the bones tend to appear after some time, especially after 30!
