Hi Guys! Wondered if anyone has the answer to this one for me.

Just about every flight we do (from the UK to the US) means a return flt at night. Quite normal. However, can anyone explain to me why I am always feeling sick when I land off one of these night sectors? Is it tiredness, dehydration or what? (Am I the only one who feels like this???!!!!!)

Ta Peeps!

Happy Landings!

Well, I also do a lot of North Atlantic crossings.
I recognize the tiredness and dehydration but never actually get sick.
Sorry.

It is probably dehydration, mental and physical exaustion and frustration of having your head bit off and rear end chewed up all day by know-it-all paxs. Oh - oh, my attitude is coming through.

Try drinking at least 8 oz of water (not soda or juice)each hour of flying and take a shower or bath as soon as you can during your layover. A shower or bath will rehydrate your body.

Let me know if this works for you.

Thx S'belle. I usually try to make sure that I drink at least 1.5litres of water per sector....but sometimes fail miserably!!!!! It's only a recent thing to happen as well. I never used to feel like this when I started flying..........maybe they're working me too hard!!!!!!!!!!! That's gotta be it!
Thanks again S'belle!!

Pregnant maybe ? Sorry, only kidding.

I try to drink a lot of water too. But didn't know a shower could rehydrate your body. Is this really true ? Does it go thru your skin ? Oh, maybe you use those moisturising lotions than. Forgive me, for I am male.

This really helps for your body if itīs dehydrated... have a shower and at the end put some baby oil over your body !
One more minute under the shower to get rid of the excess of oil and thatīs it.
Be careful drying off softly with your towel.
Give it a try... might help..!

It never happened to me.
Try not going to rest after eating.
