The next time we complain about obese passengers, maybe we should remember this 300 pound PIG that flew in F/C. http://www.crewstart.com/ubb/images/icons/grin.gif

This was on a US Airways flight from Philadelphia to Seattle on a 757. The owners claimed it was a ‘service animal’.

Here is an excerpt from an article about the flight:
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
“When pigs fly. . .

. . .they fly first class.

At least, that's the service one pampered porker received last week aboard a USAirways flight from Philadelphia to Seattle.

In a bizarre episode that rattled flight attendants and embarrassed airline officials, a 300-pound pig was boarded into the cabin of a Boeing 757 and flown nonstop with 200 other passengers on a six-hour flight across the country.”

A source was quoted, "All I know is, it was ugly and it pooped."

Mind you.. if a belt extension is need i make sure that food or beverage trolley is not stopped to close to that passenger...

A pig on the airline...yes why not..many pigs are more polite than some passengers

How about this HUGE pax who had to buy two tickets so he can have two seats? When he checked in, he didn't realize that those two seats were both middle seats and one was all the up front and the other one was all the way in the back. It was a full flight (oversold flight) and we had a huge dilemna on our hands! Nobody would move (I probably wouldn't have either) to sit in a middle seat and right beside this heffer. I think we took a half hour delay due to this. Us FAs gave up and let the CSRs handle this.

Then meal service .....

.... here's another one. We have been posting things about BIG - HUGE passengers. How about some of our Flying Mates? I remember I had to sit with one who occupied 85% of our jumpseat on a B757. I was sitting 2L Outboard (by door) and my right AssCheek was hanging from the side ...! Talk about discomfort. We were told to remain seated for the first 15 minutes due to severe turbulence. And was it turbulent! By the time we got up, my left ASS Cheek was numb and etc.

I passed this around (hope you didn't mind) and showed this to my friends and we could not stop laughing! Erin, do you remember like in the early 80's or late 70's, that UA had two geeses (one female and one male) and it had FLYING UNITED ... the femal had this "satisfied look" while the male had the "ornery" one? Wonder whether we could still get those? Regards.

Hey Mangos,

I was at SFO one day and I saw the CDG crew going down to gate 102 for their flight. The plane was a 777 and all of the crew were walking for the most part toghter except for this one flight attendant who was woddeling her way to the plane. Man, she was hudge! I dont know how she fit on to the jumpseat?

FFA ... normal sized FAs will go down the aisle ... the normal way ... like walking facing the front or the back; had witnessed once a female FA who had to work her down the aisle sideways or sideview and still bumping and crashing into peoples' head, elbows, shoulders and one ... who was in the process of sipping a scalding crew cup of java ... went into his face instead. Man, was he pissed ... although he didn't dare say he was since he was a passrider with almost no seniority. Did this heffer even look back to apologize? No, she went stomping on her way ... much like a tornado.

Regards and Safe Flying - Mangos!

Try sitting in position B or C on a 727 on the jumpseat (forward facing) with an FA who has their uniforms made by Acme Tent and Awning. If there is no E position, I will sit on the aft-facing jumpseat. You've got to remember, the 727s were made when "stewardesses" had weight requirements.

Did the "stewards" have weight requirements?
