Just a small note to all ANSETT and Cathay
Pacific staff - We at BA have inherited of
your former boss - did not hear much of him
of late - How was he when he was your boss?-
He has been described as a people's person-
Any truth in this? - He wants to close Long-Haul LGW BA base by 2003 according to our latest rumours- Can we trust him ?

1. Toe-cutter in Cathay, and reduced costs. Left at the right time.
2. Entered Ansett through NEWS CORP. to get airline viable to sell.
3. Hacked through Ansett buy selling no core assests, and hacking staff.
4. Sold off Catering. Rid of staff.
5. Sold off a lot of re-apply your position type jobs. Now on temporary staff.
6. New Corp loved him. Reduced airline to minimum staff.
7. Made Ansett look good on paper, and Air New Zealand bought it.
8. Time to get out!!!!
9. Got a job offer in BA.
10. Still a toe-cutter, even though he is a nuclear scientist or such.
But can he run an airline without hacking the s**t out staff, and departments.
Cause anyone can do that!

Thanks for your reply "Saikapu" - all this does not surprise me in any way - I wrote to Rod Eddington last month - and finally got an answer - basically telling him of my concerns about the closure of LGW for BA - the reply was a downright dismissal of my allegations but LGW is being reviewed by BA - 2 bases LHR and LGW are too expensive to run - he basically said in substance that "they" know what they are doing !!!!????
