Want to be a stewardess? Better think twice! Long working days, bad pay, terrible passengers, incompetent management, cheap hotels, always jet-lag. Still want to join us? You must be a perfect collegue!

HA HA! You guys get crewmeals??? What´s that?? I´ve been flying for over two years and I´ve had a crewmeal....mmmh lemme think... probably 3 times. Most of the time we eat bread and whatever extra meals we have left after the service... or nothing at all. Sounds like a nice idea though, crewmeals....

Are we lucky!!
We get very expensive crew meals... crab, lobster, shrimps, seafood, salmon(ella), all kinds of delicious food. Only one problem: you get it on board for the rest of your day. So at 5 o' clock, you smell seafood for the rest of the day.
I love the crepes and the nice lasagna we get... http://www.crewstart.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif

I am way over the crew meals. They are filling, but they contain a lot of fat and sodium and preservatives. Just think, how else could omelets be catered at 6 a.m. to be cooked at 8 a.m.?
I am glad that we get the crew meals, but fas usually learn to stay away from them. After about 2 years, all the crew meals, no matter what it is, begin to smell and taste alike. The best bet is to invest in a can opener and stock up on the canned soup. You can prepare the soup in the oven. Just open the can, tear off the label for it will catch fire and place it in the oven on high for about 10 minutes. Bring a lot of crackers. If you must eat a crew meal, make sure you bring your own hot sauce. That will give it some flavor for the crew meals are bland.

Standing in Chicago, hiding behind a sign with the other crew, freezing, waiting for the ever late hotel van. Thats the glamorous life of a flight attendant.

Look on the bright side, if you eat enough of these crew meals - you will live till 100years old. the preservatives in the food will make sure of that. You will look plump and crisp.Ha Ha Ha!

Creative with crewmeals....
this could be one of these open university courses on TV. http://www.crewstart.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif) Why don't we get a refresher training on this?
Could be intresting.
I wonder what other companies get... We have mostly a complete meal (little salad, hot meal and desert) or just a snack. I heard these things are extremely expensive. (25-30$/unit).

well blacksheep:
on yesterday's crews menu:
*a nice salad with fresh vegetables
*Parma ham with pesto, tomatoes and lovely
fresh mozzarella...
*a light desert with a good "neutralizing
mint flavour"
the pax had even better... smoked salmon which for once didn't smell or didn't look funny.
I think they changed the cook....

Was observed eating our crew meals in the back galley. Was commented by some passengers who were on their way to the looh. They commented that we had better meals than their's. I guess, if you compare some of the meals we serve, our crew meals isn't too shabby and its free! What about other airlines? How are your CMs? With UA, we get to request for Special Meals which is great; then again if its just the regular meal, you can have a choice of steaks, chickens, fish etc. Not the greatest but it does serve its purpose ... to keep you from getting hungry.
Regards and Safe Flying.
