Yes, watch your spelling (sorry, I just couldn't resist). http://www.crewstart.com/ubb/images/icons/grin.gif

Kidding aside, the best tip someone gave me about interviewing with an airline was not to say, "I love people and I love to travel". If you didn't like either of those, you wouldn't apply for a f/a job.

Instead, tell them how much satifaction your other jobs provided when presented with the opportunity to give excellent customer service. Also, tell them you look forward to the possibility of relocating, as it presents a great chance for new adventures.

One last tip, even if you have kids or family, don't let the interviewers know how sad you'll be to leave them behind (when going on a trip or to 6 weeks of training).

I agree with CO757. Some other advice is try to casually make small talk with the people conducting the interview if possible. Sell yourself. Take notes from yourself and prepare a statement. Of course you won't recite anything. But writing it down will help you remember what you need to say. When you start talking about yourself you have that information in your head that you can pull bits and pieces from.
ALso as a new hire you will probably go to one these bases (in order of probabiity) Detroit, Minneapolis, New York, Memphis. West coast bases are way senior. Detroit is a great junior base, you will fly everywhere. In my first two years in Detroit I have been to Beijing, Shanghai, Osaka, Tokyo, Manila, Guam. London, Paris, Amsterdam (at least 6 times) Frankfurt, and Milan. Itis great if you commute to another city. Lots of flights home. Detroit is not very fabulous to live in though. Minneapolis is very very cold (in more ways than one). I am based in Memphis now and I love it. There in't any transOceanic flights though. But I am over those. If by some chance you don't make it keep trying. I got hired the second time around. Good luck. Dress to impress, conservative makeup, hair up or pulled back. AND SMILE.
