I'm a wanna be FA. I was wondering how the salary and benefits vary from airline to airline. I recently went to a UAL open house interview. I was suprised to see that their FA's receive a salary increase of @$1,000 a year and a 33% increase on their sixth year. 16 vacation days after one year and 23 days after five! I'm willing to be a FA on just about any airline, but I would also like to know which airlines offer their employees the most benefits. Any info would be much appreciated. Most airlines in Europe will give you 5 weeks (=35 days) of paid vacation after 1 year.

It was United Airlines. The starting salary only ranged $21,000 - $23,000, but I think that's what the average is for most airlines isn't it? Do other airlines offer a yearly increase? I know I read that Continental give bonuses for perfect attendance and for no delayed flights. Just don't know how much of a bonus.
