Hi everyone,
Thanks for all of your replies and insight--I appreciate your time...this is the only place I can find out any info from United F/A's!
Anyway, I just heard today from a Continental flight attendant (go figure) that new hires for United are required to sign a waiver that says that they can be released at any time (due to the impending merger with USAirways)---basically, it's so that you can't sue them for laying you off.
Do any of you know if this is true? I'm a little nervous about going into training with United next month now.....argh!
Any advice or information would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks everyone!

I have been flying all my trips with flight attendants with 4 months or less and no one has said anything about a waiver. I would even go as far to say that, that would not be legal. Also, it was in the paper that UA is no longer making plans to pursue the deal. It is basically paused where it is at. AUG 1 is the final deadline from what I understand, according to the DOJ.
