Hola,
If you want to join IB as a cabin crew member you just have to send them your cv. there is no information on their web page, but there is a phone no. which you can call, where they tell you the requirements you have to fullfill and what you have to send them. i will try to get that no. for you. after that they will invite you to a 3 day interwiew. if you pass the interwiew you will be trained for one of their medium haul aircrafts: whether the a320, the md80 or the b757 (just 1 aircraft type). transfer to long haul is based on seniority (at the moment 10 years of waiting list). at ib you will have a minimum of 12 days off per month and you will be rostered for 3 day trips (you leave the 1st day from mad spending the 1st and 2nd night in another city and the 3rd day you will return to mad. all f/a are based in mad. initially you will get a one month contract which will be renewed month after month until you get a fix contract (that lasts about 2 years). your starting salary will be of about 350.000 pts.
thats what i have heard of some ib f/a as i don´t work for them.
i thiink that helps!

OK Here goes, i am just coming to the end of my contract with IB and oing to BA at London.
The previous mail from David tells you how to apply,i will tell you what happens after you are called for an assessment.
They will call you by phone to ask you to confirm a few details and then ask you to turn up at one of their Hagars in MAD, they check your pasport at security and you then go to the medical centre. They measure you here and a lotof peopleare eliminated at this stage! They ask you what languages you are to be tested in andgive you a form that explains at going to happen that day.Yu then have a few hours u have an enlglish test. The language is easy is performed by an english teacher who was lovely. You then have your optativos like french and german they love german at the moment but doest really matter if you dont ahve it it will helpat interview though!!
Then you can go home they tell you turn up at a certain swimming pool its normally "Polideportivo Hortaleza not far from the airport,in theafternoon and here you do your 100 metres 4 lenghts of the pool in 2.5 minutes it seems daunting and the hardest bit of the whiole thing personally you will be knackered if y havent swam for a while. They tell you after every part if you have passed or no, so then you you can go home.Separate day you do the PSicotecnicos its about 5 different exams and last about 4.5 hours!!!!Noe s difcil para nada no pienses mucho en las respuestas and just try and complete them all.
Then you are given a day for an interview even if you do not know if you have passed all the exa,ms if they contact afterwarsd by phone then you have not been successful, if they dont call then its good news!
Intreview is on different day and soooooeasy it lasted 15 mins!!nothing you havent been asked before if they call you emil me and i will tell you all the questions.
One thing i will say is thatu must have all your papers, documentacion escolar and certificados de TCP etc in hand as they will not give you the job if you do not have them they do check so be warned!!
Suerte.
Rafa.

BOAC, just out of curiousity...
Why does Iberia have a swimming test? I find that very interesting.
American carriers do not have that as part of the recruitment process.

The swimming test i think is more politics, still present in some way or other in spanish life...than actually testing you in the swimming part. When i applied, they needed 500 people to fill positions for there intake of new 757 and A320 aircraft and we were 4000!!!!candidates for only those few (relatively!!) positions,so they need to introduce some test that will help eliminate people and although it may seem easy, its a hell of a test and usually gets rid of half of the attendees. Also u will be suprised at the amount of people that say they can swim and when it comes to wet drills, they flax!!
The measuring and language tests with swimming was 1 day, the psicotecnicos was a separate day in that same week and the interview was a month later so it does take time and you have to make several visits, although they do say they like to employ people from the EU its not very easy for us to complete the whole thing i had to travel from london so era dificil para mi tambien but well worth it. its a shame that there contracts are not secure you know at the ned of one month if you are working the next very insecure!! thats my only "pega!!" images/icons/grin.gif
