I have heard that UAL has a hiring freeze for f/a's since my friend passed her interview but has not been called for training yet...how true is that?

$$$$$$ The company only plans to add up to 60 more FA's this year w/ open house interviews starting this August so there is still a chance your friend could be called back. If he/she speaks another language they will have a better shot. images/icons/wink.gif

Arya, The last scheduled classes are graduating this month, no more planned for this year. Tell your friend to perhaps keep in touch with UA to indicate continued interest and in the meantime save up lots of monet as you are not paid while attending training and finances are quite lean when you relocate! Thousands of us (literally) move up to higher days of vacation next year so the company will have to do hiring in early 2002.
