As it is with all of us, if it has to do with "things with wings", we get called from everyone we know...I just got called from an over-protective Dad friend of mine whose daughter wants to "JetBlue"..I dont know anything about their working environment for inflight...could someone shed some light so I can pass along your observations to my friend. The poor guy is trapped in a time warp, a victim of too-may '60's stewardess movies. He still thinks I turn left when I go aboard to work!

Thanks.

I fly for NWA, but I have friends from an old airline that are now at JetBlue. From what all of them say, they love it. The starting pay is something like $21.50 an hour. Everything flown over guarentee...not sure what that is, is time and a half. They fly only the Airbus320 and there are always at least 4 of them aboard. They use no carts in the aisle, and serve no food. (Just some bagel chips and stuff like that.) Some of their trips are 4days.....others are just west coast turns out of JFK. JFK is there only base right now, but they just announced that they will be opening Long Beach, CA as their second hub. Ummmm.....oh....they are all pretty much flying between 86 and 120 hrs a month. Not sure what reserve is like....none of my friends have ever been on it there.....got lines right out of training. Also, they don't have a union, so they claim that you have to "watch your back" . Hope this helps you at least a little bit.
