Apparently the aircraft (I think about 5) are indeed parked up somewhere. ATH route is finished now for good. Apparently the new ATH airport was very expensive and not cost effective, as in effect, we had an ATH base (most of the time the aircraft was down there not in the UK). Sun is gone and now absorbed by Air2000/First Choice. Haven't heard anything yet as to what they will be doing, although it would be nice to see them in the air again.

i loved the Athens routes.
i've been working for EZY for 18 months but previously wokred for two summer seasons as a rep for Virgin Sun in Mallorca and the Costa Del Sol.
working for virgin was really fun. the virgin sun 3 A320/2 A321s were not taken up by Air2000 but all staff were. these aircraft are now parked at Bristol, i think along with a VS A320 and A321.
the bright yellow "banana-planes" were really good and i do miss them. i hope they are flying again soon. i don't understand why virgin closed the operation, i thought it, and athens was quite popular?
i'd like to know. i loved Virgin Sun

i flew for virgin atlantic up until september. sadly i was one of the people that left the airline.
i now fly with buzz. before september i had spent about 12 months on the A320 and about 3 on the A340. the reason i chose Virgin was it's quite quick to get seniority.
i miss VS, and would luv to go back to them or virgin express, who i've flown many times on the LHR-CPH/LHR-BCN/LHR-Rome (is it FCO?) via BRU.
the athens route was suspended. no reason was given i think. the A320s are as you said at Bristol. 3 Virgin Sun Airbus A320s and 2 Virgin Sun Airbus A321s. along with a VS A320 and A321.
please answer the post on Delhi on the forum a bit lowerr down

tadaaaaaaa Virgin Express flies now from BRU till Athens. It was kind of strange to have a complete fleet for Long haul and 1 or 2 aircraft for European flights.

The new service starts at the end of March: just have a look at the http://www.virgin-express.com website

PS. Virgin express starts as well to fly to LISBON... images/icons/smile.gif
