At Virgin Express the summer season starts with the launch of two new destinations!
As from 29 March 2002, Virgin Express start operating daily flights from Brussels International Airport to Athens. Two days later, on 31 March 2002, daily flights to Lisbon will start.
By adding these destinations to our network, Virgin Express will be the only Belgian airline flying to Athens and Lisbon. Before VEX's entry in this market, there were only a few carriers operating on this route. Consequently, they took advantage of their competitive position to keep prices unreasonably high.
Virgin Express will put an end to this consumer-unfriendly situation by offering 'Value for Money' to the travellers on these routes.
Visit Europe's largest capitals at the lowest fares
Lisbon is, after Faro, Virgin Express' second destination in Portugal. The Brussels-Faro route was launched last autumn and has proved to be very popular.
Of course Virgin Express hope that you will also start discovering Athens and Lisbon at the Best Value for Money!
A ticket to both of these capitals is already available from:
€ 110

i found this on airliners.net
"Hi guys some Virgin Express news i want to share with you

x They are looking for a second European hub on the continent. Brussels will be maintained as home base but a second will be add.

x Fleet Renewal program. The management anounced this noon that they want to replace the 737 fleet within the next two or three years. The lease contracts of many of the 737's they currently operate end within the two years, so VEX is considering leasing/buying new Boeing 737 NG, Airbus 320 or B 737 classics. Normally they want to sign the deal together with sister company Virgin Blue.

x They made a little profit of about 100.000 euro last year and forecast a full year profit for this year
"
any ideas?
