Most USA airlines now keep their curtains open at all time as it is FAA regulation? I was wondering if Virgin did the same or as other Euro airlines governed by the CAA keep the curtains closed?

All curtains have been removed from the Upper Deck of the 747-400 to give a clear view of the Flight Deck door at all times. No change anywhere else.

I'm not virgin atlantic, but, I am a European airline.
At Britannia Airways, the curtains are open for boarding, taxi, take-off, they are closed when the cabin service begins.
Then, they are opened again for descent, landing, taxi and de-planing.

Hi Airbag...
From what I can remember from working on them, the Upper Deck on the VS 747-400's are configured with either 12 Upper class sleeper seats at the front of the upper deck and 20 Premium Economy seats or 32(?)Premium Economy seats.

In a 2 class configuration 3 crew work on the UD, and in a 1 class config it's done by 2 crew.
