New A340-600 on Virgin

Virgin Atlantic, launching customer of the new A340-600, will put it into service next August 13th on LHR-JFK.

Virgin Atlantic ordered 10 A340-600 for an amount of 1,9 M $. 3 other will be delivered before the end of the year which will drive the average age of the fleet to 4 years and 10 month. Tokyo, Hong-Kong and Johannesborug will be linked by A340-600 before the end of the year.
First aircraft was shown at Farnborough Air Show.

This new aircraft, longuest in the world, is fitted with 311 seats :
. 50 in Upper Class,
. 28 in Premium Economy
. and 233 in Economy.
This represent a capacity increase of 25% compared to the A340-300.

This new aircraft will have some innovations :
- new seats in Economy and Premium Economy ;
- bar and massage space redesigned ;
- video monitor of 10,4 inches in Upper Class and 9 inches in Economy ;
- new toilettes with chromium set and offering atmosphere lightning in the whole cabin ;
- access to "Video and l'Audio On Demand" : 300 hours of "Video On Demand", and 14 channels of "Audio On Demand"
- 15 vidéo games including some with multiplayers option.

I just went onto Airliners.net, and, they have some pix of the first A340-600 at Farnborough Show, and at LHR.
The pictures of G-VSHY (named Claudia Nine as it was christened or whatever by Claudia Schiffer, she, put a line thru Cloud, and signed her name above it, hence the name "Claudia Nine"
It features on the nose "Caution Wet Paint" "Air-born July 22nd 2002" and at the rear where VS planes once had "No way BA/AA" the -600s and the 380s will have "Mines bigger than yours" the new VS slogan!

I've looked at the photos, and, boy is that plane huge!
It looks really nice, and, i want a full service report once you find out what its like to fly on!

Where will the new aircraft be operated on?
Will they be existing routes, or for expansion?
Because it would make sense would it not to have A340-200/A340-600/A380/boeing 747 for a range of capacities suitable to certain flights?
Just askin'?
