Do you think VS will ever come to Australia?

Hi Guys.
As you may know, i work for DJ - Virgin Blue.
At the moment, Virgin Atlantic do not fly to Australia, but, used to have a code-share with Ansett to Melbourne and Sydney via Hong Kong.
What is the situation now?
And do you think Virgin Atlantic will ever launch flights to Oz?

Funny you should ask, we were only talking about this on my last trip...!
The short answer is "no" not yet. We still codeshare down there with Malaysia Airline to Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide but for the mo that's it. I don't think we have the aircraft to do it and the question is whether or not we could compete with BA Qantas etc......... would love to but looks like we'll have to wait!

This is a really good forum.
I do hope that Virgin Atlantic will come and visit us Blues down here in Australia.
It would be benefitial if they did, i mean, we would have an excellent range of destinations for connections.
And, do you know what the travel benefits are?
Can VS guys fly free on Blue, and, Blue on VS?
I'm not too sure, but, i do know that we can qualify for a free Virgin Mobile!
