I have been searching for websites and information on Continental's Asia/Pacific subsidiary Continental Micronesia and have been unsuccessful in obtaining any info. I have also called Continenal Airlines and they have been no help. I'm originally from the Northern Mariana Islands in the Pacific (island of Saipan) and do know that Continental Micronesia flight attendants are based in Guam and Honolulu. Does anyone have any information where I can obtain hiring info on Continental Micronesia such as minimum age requirements and education (I'm 18)? I would greatly appreciate any possible assistance. Also, I am searching for airlines that hire at 18 for the flight attendant position in the U.S. I do know that ATA (American Trans Air), Sun Country, Hawaiian Airlines, and a couple of commuter carriers hire at 18 and United and US Airways at 19, but are there any other U.S. carriers that hire at 18? Thank you all and happy flying! =)

Hi Travis welcome!!

For all purposes its the same Airline. There is also a small Narita and Osaka F/A base. HNL is the smallest. I had heard that HNL and the Japan bases where to be closed. For open house information you can go to Continental.com or call the Guam # 647-6453 and ask for help or in Saipan #670-234-6492.

During the horribly Lorenzo years they kept the airline on seperate paperwork because it made money and was worth more than CAL on the mainland. Now that its seperate. Why should we waste money to combine it (Contracts, A/C registrations, seniority and all)when its the same company and follows what HQS IAH dictates.

Notice that Micronesia is no longer displayed on the A/C fuselage...Just CONTINENTAL. Same uniforms, same training , same manuels, etc.

GUM and NRT seem to be the only f/a bases left. HNL was a Japanese speaker base, but it's GONE now.

images/icons/wink.gif (you might have better luck posting your question about hiring policies in the general Flight Attendants board) Good luck and happy flying!
