The Midway board on Yahoo is all flustered up with merger buyout talk.

It seems that once JI is bankrupt that the court just might extend their leases on slots in RDU and especially DCA and LGA for several years.

It would also seem that they could be transferable to another carrier.

It also says that CAL can buy into JI making it an exclusive code-share partner a la CAL connection etc, etc. images/icons/shocked.gif

for 2 days in a row midway got just a handfull of reservations...mgmt decided to lay off every one return the jets to lessors and sell the furniture the janitor was told to turn off the lights. due to the high number of dot.com businesses that are distressed in the rdu area, a hub and spoke is not feasable at this time...some day cities like bna msy rdu sea pdx may see airlines return. cities where a hub and spoke existed but failed...
