A jury has cleared Peter Buck from REM on all charges. This man was drunk, assaulted crew, turned over a breakfast trolley and tried to open a door!! There were witnesses but its all been thrown out. Just goes to show that once again, the rich and famous are above the law. Worse still, because he was found innocent a so called BA Spokesman says he's welcome to fly with is again!! If I was on the crew I would off load myself.

I'm assuming this falls under British law, but any chance of the assaulted BA flight attendants filing a civil suit against Mr. Buck? I don't know how the law works over there, but here in America, just because he was cleared of criminal charges doesn't keep him from being sued in a civil court for damages and such by those he assaulted.

(I'm not a lawyer, mind you. I just play one on TV.)

Sorry guys. Sounds like you got dealt a bad hand there. I don't know...in situations like this, I just sometimes have to keep in mind that what goes around, comes around. You can't pull stunts like that and not have it catch up with you eventually. Best wishes from your colleagues across the pond!

I think that BA flight attendant, should go to a REM concert and sit in the front row. I suggest buying a few beers (ones in bottles) and throw them at him!! Then ask him how does it feel?

Actually that's a good idea, I can wreak havoc at the concert and then blame it all on a sleeping tablet and wine (his defence). Seriously, apparently some of the crew are considering a civil suit.

With all that's going on and that we F/A and pilots are taking, I find this decision really DISGUSTING. BA unions should write a formal letter to newspapers.

He got away with it because he is a celebrity! F**k the celebrity status, what he did was illegal and the a** should pay for it. It seems that celebrity type people always get away with things. I along with all of you are celebrities, we're FLIGHT ATTENDANTS!!! images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif

I was about to write some really bad words, the kind your mother forbids you to use, about this, but I'll settle for these: Simply unbelievable...

Where is justice when you need an M16 loaded with it.....

The S-O-B was cleared!!! Thats a damn shame!!!
If he gets on another BA flight and decides to pull another stunt like that, I hope that all my
BA brothers and sisters will beat the sh*t out of him!!!....All my best to BA!!! The World's Favourite Airline!!!...And one of mine as well!!
