Easy,Easy! Hang on heart failure. Mr Easy WHAT?!!! You mean you wanna wear the BA uniform, work for a BA franchise? Do you feel OK?
GB have some good destinations and will be all Airbus 320 soon. They fly routes from both LHR and LGW. I have flown with them to Faro. Flight was excellent. The service is different to BA in the fact they serve hot meals in Traveller. Crews seem friendly. Believe pay is average, but there are good perks and travel concessions.
So what has brought this change? So what has Mr Stellios done to make you wanna look else where?
You can e mail me if you perfer. When I was a Trainer at Debonair a few Easy crew moved over.

It's not that difficult to be hired by BA...all you need to be is being a non-US citizen (for some reasons they can't hire US citizens), fluent in several languages and willing to be relocated to LGW or LHR... I interviewed with BA and NW at almost the same time and both wanted me, I chose NWA. graemlins/plane_smilie.gif

yes, euroboy you are right. i may be leaving the bright orange planes of easyJet for a new airline sooner than i thought.
i was speaking to a few airline crews when on standby at various airlines and sent off some applications. hopefully i'll get a reply from GB AIRWAYS soon.
i will miss easyJet but it's all about new experiences and GB looks good. nice planes nice places nice people, like easyJet but more upmarket and has Airbuses and BA colours
the guys at GB AIRWAYS seemed really nice and not touchy about the fact i was EZY (ahem AirBag). they approached me when i was sitting in i think it was McDonalds. we got talking and they said they were hiring.

Easy. Good luck with the application. GB are good company and they did have some good nightstops. Destinations are Faro, Lisbon(exLGW),Oporto, Gibraltar, Malaga, Alicante, Marseille, Palma, Tenerife, Lanazorote, Gran Canaria, Funchal, Tangier, Casablanca, Marrakech, Tunis, Malta, Nante, Seville.
I`m sure you will enjoy!
SeaMeFly. Just to answer your question re non hire of US citizens and based them in the UK. The company is not allowed, unless you have the required visas and eligable to work within the EC. See UK citizens aren`t allowed to work for say American or United, US Air and be based say in Miami or New York without a Green Card. And the chances of me being allowed to that is zero.

Good luck Easy - we flew on vacation with GB to Marrakech, and they were superb - immaculate aircraft (B734), a good meal, and friendly too. Kind of old-fashioned, in the nicest sense.

does GB AIRWAYS crews get interviewed and trained by BA at LHR.
hoping to get a reply from GB AIR soon.
euroboy

GB interview their own crew and they will use their own trainers, they probably use some BA training facilities.
GB Airways is a franchise. This means you work for an independent company which uses the BA name, livery, and flight codes (BA6800-6999)and cabin crew wear the BA uniform.
At LGW you report at a different building to that of BA Eurofleet Gatwick and WorldWide.
If you are successful you will be working and being paid by GB not BA.
So you can wipe the sweat from your brow...I`m not an interviewer or trainer...carry on fling your mud my way!

Hi guys.
I'm really excited, I've just got a reply from GB AIRWAYS who have said they would like me to go in for an interview.
I know it isn't much, but I'm pretty excited. If I do go I think the next six months would be a good time, what with the GO-EZY merger which could create a bi of a problem.
wish jordi was here as well!

Hi guys!
easy737, I wish you the best of luck, for the GB interview, and hope you enjoy your job at BA/GB.
I was at a BA franchise and BA Regional for 3 years and are some of the happiest in my 5 (almost 6!) years of flying!
whilst Ba may look mean from the outside, it is one great big family, and I do miss it,
You'll have a great time! images/icons/grin.gif

Once again, thanx.
The people at the Beehive were really friendly, and the website was a lot of help.
The job, is for LGW cabin crew, and I live in Hertfordshire, so am thinking of moving closer to LGW.
Like I said, if anyone knows about service and seat plans for GB it would be a great help!
Thanx

Hey your have to wear a tie images/icons/wink.gif
But one thing now...
Get rid of that vile orange little logo images/icons/grin.gif
Think you will enjoy GB and maybe see each other on board sometime. Remember you now have proper travel concessions with most of the major worldwide carriers.
Good Luck with the training

i can only agree with flightty here.
you've left EZY by now and, think, everyone seems a bit worried now EZYGO merger is going ahead so you probably made the right choice.
Think of all the benefits you'll have at GB.
Have fun!

I start training in September, so, I'll be flying in October hopefully.
I've had two months off, I left easyJet in July, so, I've taken all of August to relax.
Going to be based at LGW.
See you soon, looking forward to it.
