New Uniform Pieces: Whatcha Think?

Seen them yet? I browsed through the Brookhurst catalog the other day while at BOS. They're also on display at ORD. --Tell me this: WHY DID THEY DO AWAY WITH OUR STRIPES??? I WANT MY STRIPES BACK!!! The absence of the stripes (I forget the correct term for them) makes it look like a cheap business suit with a cheap pair of wings attached). Who thought of this?

I like the shirts though. And the scarves for the ladies looks nice and retro-ish.

Oh well, I guess it's only a uniform.

Chicago: Have you looked at our new tie? Look at it closely. Maybe its the angle of the camera or the lights available when they shot the pictures, but does the material kinda remind you of our Coach Class blanket? The dark blue one? images/icons/mad.gif

I just hope that the 27's are all gone by May of 2002. The sweat rings from no APU in the heat isn't going to be a pretty sight. I think the short sleeve blue shirt w/ the tie make us look like the shift leaders @ Mc Donalds( not that working @ a fast food resturant is bad) but are we to add "Mr/Mrs. 1K we thank you for your business, for lunch would you like to super size your double cheese burger? "

Why on earth did they select 'models' that clearly never met a crew meal they didn't eat??? The mens tie, while resembling the economy blanket is at least silk. The dress is something even Kmart Kathie Lee designs would have rejected! Add to this the fact that WAYYYY too many of our colleagues wear dresses 2 sizes too small(Im going on a diet I swear-yeah right)- all of the hidden buttons are going to leave a lump down one thigh- not a pretty sight!
