Am I the only UA F/a that simply can no longer contain his disgust with our ultra-pathetic CEO and his brainless friends in Elk Grove? Sorry folks, but I don't care if I'm airing dirty laundry on this board. Can somebody puh-leeeze tell me (pretty-please with sugar on it?) WHY ON EARTH THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND THE PILOT'S UNION CHIEF, RICK DUBINSKY PREFER TO KEEP THIS DUFUS RUNNING & RUINING OUR ONCE-GREAT AIRLINE????

How 'bout some top management salary givebacks while also rethinking those gazillion-dollar checks just written for those dumb bizjets? As obvious as that is, that's just for starters.

And that boldface LIE Rono Dutta told regarding the recent closings of ORF, PWM, ABE, SBA, etc. made me cringe. He was quoted in a PR newswire that those cities will be dropped "obviously because of the soft demand for travel due to the Sept. 11 tragedy." THAT'S A D*** LIE RONO, AND YOU KNOW IT. UA announced earlier this year that it planned to cut certain stations by this fall. --those station closings woulda commenced even if the attack had never occurred. Right? Please don't use that horrific tragedy as a smokescreen for your inept mismangement pre-Sept 11. That's not right.

I'm telling you guys... I'd sacrifice one month's pay to get Jerry Greenwald back. (Well, hey, with b-scale, that's not all that much now, is it?LOL.). At least I'd feel better knowing that UA would have a better chance *existing* for a few more years with him at the helm.

I feel your pain. I too want him out! Him and his bad managment of this company is going to run it into the ground. It is time to get his sorry ass out of Elk Grove!

I think that it is time that there is another ESOP. By doing that, we buy the company from under him, and we kick his sorry ass out of there! Then we get someone better, Greenwald if he would come back, or maybe someone from CO's board of directors to come in and be our new CEO.

What do you think? ESOP 2? It would get Goodwin out, and make it the employee owned airline that it once was. We would have more of a say in the company than we do now.

You are not the only two UAL employees wondering what the heck is going on????? Are the Board of Directors at UAL deaf, dumb and blind. Can they see that the stock is down to $16. Are they listening to what Goodwin is saying. Are they dumb enough to allow this bimbo to run UAL into the ground.

I am angry that the pilots and mechanics who have a seat on that Board are allowing this to carry on. Do any of those pilots think they are going to get the pay they have at UAL somewhere else when there is no more UAL?

I agree, bring back Greenwald. Wasn't it different then. Goodwin is nothing but a puppet of Stevie Wolfe who it seems has never really left UAL. They need to get rid of all those Wolfe left overs at UAL.

However, I disagree with you on giving anything up. The flight attendants have given all they can. We didn't get a 40% raise, we got a 0% raise remember. Giving concessions is just what Goodwin wants. He can get more money for his Avolar.
