I'm itching to see how this new guy, "Jack" Creighton, will be like. He's not from the airline industry (except for sitting on the UAL Board...THE SAME BOARD THAT TOOK FOREVER TO OUST GOODWIN.) --But, he seems to have good management-relations savvy--something that the Goofball never even tried to attempt.

We shall see. We shall see.

In the mean time:

Happy days are here again. Okay, we have a ways to go, but our voices were heard!

Let's all pray this new guy is not out of the Steven Wolfe "Is this anyway to ruin an airline?...You bet it is" School.

I'd like to think that we are on the road to something bigger and better. I know how much each of us just wants to be treated and compensated fairly and respectfully. If management could only understand that, wow what an airline we would be.

Good riddance to bad rubbish!
The only thing that still chaps my hide is the fact that this LOSER this QUITTER -yes, I'm talking Goodwin will continue to collect his $750,000.00 pay check until his contract expires in 2004.

As happy as I am, guys, I'm also still very nervous about the future of this company. I mean, when you think about it, Jimmy "No-Good" Goodwin HAS DONE SUCH SEVERE DAMAGE TO UNITED, that I really think it'll take years to recover, even with the savvines and goodwill of the new guy.

Man! Legacies are just that -- legacies. And they tend to last a long, long time.

Gosh I just can't help to wallow in the fact that the Board of Directors should've nixed the problem in the bud a very long time ago. Why the hell did they keep the bozo at WHQ for so long??? That schitt that transpired in the summer of '00 shoulda been the biggest clue that Goodwin was wayyyyy underqualified for such an important job.

Oh well. We can only look towards the future now and hope for the very best. Let's just hope and pray that the very worse is behind us.....
