Transat opens two seasonal bases. 100 f/as in YYC and 35 in YHZ...

I will definitely try to make my way to a seasonal base, when it closes you can go to the base of your choice, in my case I would go back to YMX! Let's see if I get the seniority to do that now!!!!!!! YYC would be my first choice, but is YHZ interesting? I have never been...

FYI at the bottom of the Seasonal Base Info Page it states in bold and underlined at that, that "Upon completion of the assignment, all F/A's will return to their original bases" Doesn't sound to me like you go to the base of your choice, the collective agreement also fails to state that, unless of course it's printed in between the lines!
People should seriously think before jumping to a seasonal base, it tells the company, sure we'll pack up our lives and move every 3-6 months to make your operations easier. It's okay, I don't value any of the stability I've managed to create with this job. They shouldn't expect people to uproot their lives for 3-6 months of work, only to be faced with having to do it again once that season roles around again. Not only that but by agreeing to a seasonal base that flying is being taken away from all bases, taking away any chance of winter per diem that is available, and who doesn't rely on per diem? I highly doubt our salary alone pays most peoples bills, rent or mortgage. Would you not rather be doing turns out of yeg, yyc & yhz and seeing some per diem than doing turns out of yyc & yhz as bases? If they don't get the numbers they need to open the bases, the bases won't open and the flying will be split amongst the 3 permanent bases as in past years. If you love your home and the life you have created say NO to YHZ & YYC
