View Full Version : Alitalia longhaul fleet plan?

When will Alitalia be replacing the 747-200Bs.
I knew they had ordered some Boeing 747-400s but these have now gone to Virgin Atlantic, and what has happenned to the 777 order?
Just a quick question!

I was reading somewhere that the 777's should be arriving shortly. I don't know the exact dates but they will be in the fleet soon

hi there,
we will get the first 2 777 in august, other 4 will arrive by end of year. so far all our 747 are on the ground. our 8 md 11 will be grounded by year 2003, further 767-300 ER will arrive by then.

Those 777s will be really nice.

I have heard AZ pilots will be trained here in AF for 777. They are due to arrive soon.

Hey SirCris,

I put the Alitalia logo and KLM logo because those are my 2 favorite airlines images/icons/smile.gif hope that answers your question

Hi, I am really looking forward to seeing your new Boeing 777s when they arrive.
I know that you had ordered some 747-400s and as far as I know those went to Virgin, do you still plan on buying those?

so here I am back. the 6 A 319 will arrive starting june 6 operating mostly domestic for now. first 2 777 will be delivered in august, they will operate rome- milan for the first month in order to get us crew used to the new plane. we just got our 13th 767 in fleet.we got it from ther airline eurofly which is alitalia charter airline.all 747 will be grounded. alitalia long haul fleet will be formed by 777 and 767 only

So will the 747-200 fleet be parked up or sold on to another operator?
Are the 747-200 aircraft leased?

Just a few questions.

hi everyone, no alitalia 747 are flying anymore images/icons/frown.gif images/icons/frown.gif images/icons/frown.gif the only alitalia 747 you will see are cargo,some will be sold ( i am sure in africa) and some will be returned to boeing.
