For any DL F/As that layover in OAK, please be aware that jetBlue has just suspended our contract with the hotel you layover at. (For security purposes, I will not name it here). Below is bits and pieces of the email sent to jetBlue F/As about this, and I just wanted to pass it along for you. We did not feel safe there, and for those of you that layover there, you know what that hotel was/is like...

You might want to bring it to the attention of your Hotel Committee and see if they can move you to a safer, cleaner, more organized hotel ASAP!

It has just come to our attention that there have been some problems with the OAK Hotel recently in terms of security. Although none of the incidents have directly involved JetBlue crewmembers, we have nonetheless, deemed it necessary that a change be made immediately. Effective tomorrow morning, JetBlue is suspending service with the Hotel in Oakland until current security issues are addressed and corrected. As details unfold, we will keep you posted. We're sorry for the inconvenience this may cause, but we believe this safety issues requires our full and immediate attention. Thanks in advance for your understanding and patience.

Thanks for the warning, JetBlue Brad!! I have never had a layover there and so far have never heard any talk about the hotel.

Just being there, your F/As are very unhappy there. I know they were at a different hotel, not such about which 'brand', but apparantly it was the dumps too, and they got moved to this crappy property. I just hope they can fight it and get moved to a better property.
