Elite status question

Bonjour All !

I am a new member of this forum and I would like to say that I am one of the biggest skyteam fans.
I have been flying AF and AZ quite for a while and neither disappointed me.

Here is my question:
I will be flying MPL-CDG-BOS/JFK-CDG-MPL with AF next summer in tempo (Y).
My mother holds a Frequence Plus Bleu (elite) and I would like to know if she can ask for an upgrade at time of check-in, all the more as she might reach "elite plus" status before july.

Hello AFboy,

Si ta mère est Fréquence+, elle accumule des miles chaque fois qu'elle voyage. Ces miles peuvent être utilisés pour un éventuel surclassement, soit pour elle-même, soit pour la personne de son choix.
Je te déconseille le surclassement sur le tronçon MPLCDGMPL, mais par contre sur le tronçon transatlantique cela vaut la peine. BOS est desservi soit en A340-300(AF332), soit en B767-300 (AF322). Pour le retour de JFK, c'est du B777.
Ce surclassement est à demander au moment de la réservation; une mention sera ajoutée dans le dossier.

Actually,

Reservations are already done on board AF332 (A340-300) and AF009 (B777).
I know someone who has been upgraded without paying anything because the flight was full in eco. I guess those flights will be pretty full
and I just want to know what her chances are at this time.

Well in fact, if Tempo class is fully booked, of course as an Elite customer she will be one of the first proposed an upgrade by checking ground staff.As I am actually away from my office I cant tell you which are the chances for it now. I will check it during the week, but as reservations are open till last minutes, it`s better to check 1 or 2 days prior departure how is the booking status.
On the other hand, I am no more f/a as being grounded years ago, but most f/a are doing a great job, whichever the airline can be !
Will revert you asap !
