It had been reported in the October 2001 edition of Airways Magazine, where there was a big article on Aeroflot, that they were planning on joining in 2003.
Anyone else heard anything?

Air France and Aeroflot code-share deal
PARIS, July 23 (AFP) - Air France and the Russian carrier Aeroflot reached a code-sharing agreement Tuesday covering Paris-Moscow flights, said sources at Air France headquarters at Roissy Airport near here.
Passengers starting October 1 will have six daily round-trip flights to choose from between Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and Moscow-Sheremetievo Airport.
The two companies will share the six flights, with each having access to a bloc of seats on the other.
Some people believe this is the first stage of Aeroflot joining the SkyTeam alliance, which it intends to join in 2003.

me<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana ">Why though?
Aeroflot is still the largest airline in Russia and Eastern Europe.
You would have a market untouched by Star and oneworld.
Although granted you need more airlines.
Why the hell did you get CSA?

Hey Folks- This whole code-share thing is like a monopoly game. He who gets the most real-estate in the beginning, wins. Aerofolt has had image problems in the past, but Im sure they're coming along. TRUST me- if SkyTeam is able to lock out OneWorld and Star- they'll be worlds ahead.

me<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana ">I don't understand why the alliance is weak. Because we don't have like 20 memebers like Star or what? I like that Sky is selective and doesn't just let anyone join.
