Is it true in this profession your period gets out of whack?
I noticed mine is less heavy and it lasts LONGER images/icons/mad.gif
is this a common occurance among women?

Mine just goes a little bit heavier than it was before, but not longer.
Another question:
Did this job affect your body in any other way? For example, after I started this job, I got much skinnier. My skin got more dry, of course. I had to change my moisturaisers. My hair got drier too.
About the skinny part, airplane food is he best diet. You just look at it when you are starving and say,"Neeeah, I don't think I will eat that today." images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/tongue.gif images/icons/wink.gif

Geez. And I just asked my gynecologist if it was normal for periods to get Heavier while flying!
Mine have been AWFUL! The only time it was this bad before was when I was spending time in Colorado. I thought I was hemhorraging! An outdoorsy friend told me that altitude can affect menstrual cycles. She bleeds heavily when climbing or diving. (Ain't that a bitch?!)
My gynecologist said that she's never heard anything about the effect of altitude on periods and she suggested I ask a doctor who works with airline personnel.

I really hate that airplane crap. once you eat the same DISH for over a YEAR, you wanna just throw it ALL AWAY!

I dread flying when I have my period. Cramps and cranky pax...gee what more can you ask for. Mine didnt get heavier when I started it was just all over the shop. Not regular at all. :mad_2:

Oh great.... I cant wait for the day, when I have a female captain, thats on her period, has cramps and a case of the runs. Something tells me, that would NOT be a fun trip.
