Aren't poppers the name for wake up pills. Those pills that have caffeine or in some cases amphetamines.
I think Provigil may be a better alternative, it's not amphetamine, no dependance forms, and you still achieve REM sleep.

The only Poppers I heard of before were the Andro "Poppers", allegedly used to increase muscle mass. They're a banned substance by most professional sports leagues and all amateur sports governing bodies.

The only Poppers I know is the the one you sniff. It gives you a short buzz and boost of energy! Not sure about the effect it would have on you in a pressurised cabin though!!!

Ok, I tried sleeping pills one time and when I woke up felt like I had a bad hangover, same applies to me for Melatonin, however, it gave me an extra 4 hours of sleep.

Melatonin gave me the worst nightmares i ever had...(and i never have nightmares!!), so it was once but never again!! Nothing works better then a hot bath and a good session of sex before going to sleep!! images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif

I agree about melatonin. Gave me a sort of "hangover" effect. It's been the same with any other sleeping pill product I've tried, so I just don't use them. It seems like I spend half of the next morning trying to shake them off.

Thanks for the advice, Trance! Of course, one must have a significant other to make that happen... images/icons/wink.gif

The name "Poppers" have recently attached to nitrate drugs which supposedly add to the sexual experience. The risk for low blood sugar is high and no serious pilot should take them.

Sorry, I meant to say that Poppers can cause LOW BLOOD PRESSURE, not SUGAR.

Nixe, have you tried "Betadorm"? It's pretty strong as far as prescription-free stuff goes; but I use it ONLY for those terrible Tokyo nights (there I would take ANYTHING for a long, peaceful slumber), and I take only one (recommended dosage is one or two). And it's great! Only restriction, I wouldn't use it when I'm already half-way through a sleepless night (i.e. when I don't have a chance of getting at least another 7 hours), because I find it makes you rather more tired in the morning if you couldn't "sleep it off".

Just a recommendation!

I'd imagine after a nite of poppers and fun you'd be one tired F/A!

you bet. I tried poppers to enhance sexual fun but the headaches I got afterwards were awful so I decided to pass up on them for now. The enhanced kick you get sexually is awesome though. Makes you go crazy. It is also known as Video Head Cleaners. images/icons/tongue.gif

It's only known as video head cleaner in the U.S. where it is supposidly illegal to sell. It is Amyl(?) Nitrate and it produces a short high to be used during sexual experiences. It enhances feelings and can lead to one amazing orgasm. It is not outlawed in Canada or the U.K. and can be purchased over the counter of most sex shops under many different brand names including Rush, and Rochfort.

Is that all it takes, flightty? I've been trying to get taken advantage of and no luck. I'll have to try poppers I guess!! :tongue_2:

Are poppers the same thing as Ecstacy? Or Exstacy, depending on how you spell it?
(Heck, I don't think I spelled either one right...)

Naw... poppers (aka Amyl) are inhaled. Ex (as far as I know) is in pill or powder form... having never done Ex I'm really not sure.

The original poppers, (Amyl Nitrate) have been replaced with different variations (Butyl, Cetyl and Alkyl) here in the US.

BTW, here's an interesting thought... can any of the Poppers (Nitrate family) be picked up on any drug test? Either new hire or random? How bout Exctacy? Time frames? Just a thought as I'm trying to catch up on the boards... had just read another med post asking about how long pot can be traced....

Safe travels all...

I was at Hillside Campground once when I saw someone spraying something into a rag and sniffing it (we were in the
woods where we saw this couple, you know....)... Not sure what that stuff did.

Poppers come in a little bottle and were sold as "RUSH"... Rush is still sold but also under other 'brand names'...

For some they can be highly addictive and they can be very dangerous. I heard that a combination of Poppers
and Viagra can kill you. It definitely can give you one hell of an orgasm, so....

But, you should use caution with these...

They can kill you.

I think the rag stuff is something called Ethyl Chloride... it's supposed to be a variation of poppers... but that stuff I believe is sprayed on a rag and then (for lack of better phrase) chomped on ...

The poppers/viagra conflict comes (pun not intended) from both chemicals (I believe... not a med professional here) lowering the blood pressure... well, with both chemicals lowering the BP... that's not good...

So Earthling, when ya gonna post pix and details about the most amazing sex you had the other nite?

:wink_2:

I guess that most of the guys/gals misunderstood... :smirk:
Poppers are something that, when used during sex sessions, make me "deflate"... Personally I never sniffed any, though I have been with partners who wouldn't do it without, but the feet smell makes me sick!
I guess that, should some cabin crew use it on board, well, you would see all passengers looking at one's another feet!

Hell joeluft, why would you want to deflate, anyway??
Just try picture Sophia Loren at age 92 in a bathing suit!
