Hi, I was just wondering what trips do you guys/gals like and dislike and why? I'm from S. Jersey and my family has always flown US from PHL that's why I have such an interest in your airline. Thanks.

Our island trips are highly sought after. We get long layovers and they are at nice resort hotels. Flights to Europe typically go senior but that's a different division. Another type of trip that goes senior (although I haven't seen too many in PHL lately) is the all-nighter. You fly the last flight out to some small city...i.e. a 10 p.m. departure to Portland, Maine. You get a room for a few hours and then work the first flight back to Philly in the morning.
Put the kids to bed...go to work...be back in time to drop them off at school. Very senior. They used to say that in PIT, when you go to the crewroom late at night, all the senior gals are there in their overcoats, waiting to go on their all-nighters. Supposedly they had on their nightgowns under the overcoats so they could just hop into bed for a quick snooze when they got to the hotel. images/icons/tongue.gif

JetStew is right. The island trips are sought after. I have been lucky to get some island trips off quick call or morning OPR.
QCQ, when I flew at US Airways, I got STX one time! This was the only island layover I had in my 5 years at US Airways. I was senior enough when I was their, crew sched. started calling at 3pm, I had my call by 3:15pm. I usually picked a 4 day like LAX-CLT-SEA on the 757 A or B. Yes, those island trips were hard to get even when I was their. Jetstewus, enjoy trans-atlantic, it was fun when I flew over "the pond"!!
