Yesterday, the airline started to recall f/as'. 50 flight attendants are being recalled and all will be going to LGA.
This is good news that they are finally starting recalls. Hopefully, there will be more recalls occurring.

Joe,
Thanks for your kind words. I am glad to be coming back to work. Seven months of being out of work was a long time. Fifty of us are lucky to be coming back to work for July. I know that I said this before.
I have hundreds and hundreds of flight attendants below me on the seniority list. I think that there are more than 800 below me on involuntary furlough. I know plenty who are anxious to be coming back, even some that were on probation who were let go back in September. Hopefully, the day will come when they will be back to work with us.
We can all hope the best for each other.
We all make a living and are doing our best to survive within our own means.

I am one of the 50 flight attendants that was lucky enough to be recalled. Seven months of being out of work was a long time. Most of us were in the same class nearly two years ago, and we waited a long time for this day to come. Yes indeed, I am glad to be getting back to work.
I know many who are junior to me who are really anxious to be getting back to work in the near future.
So, I will be going to LGA. A lot of my friends and myself are going to commute. We are not going to relocate. Many of us were based in PHL before we were involuntarily furloughed. Hopefully, a month or two down the road we will get to transfer back to PHL.

I have chatted with several of you guys from US Airways. I know its been tough and I know what its like to be surviving on little pay.
But hang in there!---It will all come together.

Hopefully. I'll be a F/A too one day. I'm not giving up hope yet. But in the meantime, I'll just flying on US Airways. Maybe I'll meet you guys on a flight one day.

After housesitting for my parents here in California for the last two weeks, Tommarrow morning I am fly from ONT-MSP and MSP-PHL on Northwest to get home. Later tommarrow evening I am flying from PHL-LGA ,space positive to get to LGA.
I know that I will see everyone on the morning of the 25th with our mandatory meeting and orientation for us. We will have our five settling days before we go on reserve duty and have to be in base.

I am happy to be back on the job. I got my ID card back. Now it is easier for me to get through the airport, I can go through with less inconviences.I don't have to stand in line with the rest of the travelling public and "go straight on through." Most importantly, I got my parking permit back, now I can park in the employee lot for free. I am happy. I no longer have to worry about paying for parking or blowing money on a cab to go to and from the airport from home. Now that major inconvience has been eliminated. While I was unemployed that was an inconvience that I could least afford. Yes, I am happy.
