Hello to my favorite airline!! I have been flying with USAirways since 1987 and currently a US1. I have spent the last 6 years flying on USAirways weekly (no joke). <<My family says I should sell my house and move into the Pittsburgh airport Hyatt since I'm at the airport every Monday morning.>>

So....... I would like to hear some of your favorite stories about us passengers. I have witnessed many humorous and not so humorous moments with fellow passengers and wondered if you would want to share some with everyone.

I personnaly love the rude passengers and enjoy embarrassing them with my comments to them.....just like I did on my flight from BOS to PIT this past week. Yes I can be a bitch to other passengers.

So tell everyone some good stories if you dont' mind.

Thanks

Sure I can tell horror stories. Don't get me wrong, I love being a flight attendant, it has been the best thing for me. Yes, it is true that we put up with people who are extremely rude and nasty. You encounter that from any customer service job out there.
Yes, I will go back to being back to being actively employed since I have been recalled. Yes, I got a break from all that for 7 months. But, above and beyond everything else, I am definitely glad to be coming back to work. I can feel lucky to actually have a job.
Since I had my break from it all, involuntarily, I am ready to jump back into the whole routine to providing a superior level of customer service to our PAXs and give more than my best.

Yes there are passengers who are really rude and nasty. Despite what happened on 9/11; there are people who still act like a@#holes.
On 9/11, twenty five of our fellow flight attendants at American and United were killed on those four planes. We saw the worst terrorist attack committed against the United States. Despite that, there are people who still act like a@#holes.
I really hold the opinion that before 9/11, the problem with air rage and nasty PAXs in general was much worse. It is like we got no respect at all. That was before 9/11. Sure, people out there who see us as "easy targets" and project their displaced anger on us when it is not our fault to begin with if they did not make their connection, get their special meal, didn't get a whole bottle of water all to themselves, and they had to check their bag in . So, we see alot of irrational behavior.
Yes, I am lucky to be going back to a job. I have my blessings to count, it is no fun being unemployed.

Well quickcallqueen, as you know,I have been a frequent flyer also, trying to be an F/A, and I fly US Airways often.
I agree, there are pax that are rude, and there are F/A's that I wonder how they got their jobs because they don't display that level of
"customer service" that I feel airlines are looking for or at least what I am told through the job postings I have seen.
But I appreciate your dedication to your job. After all, it is customer service! And people like you make my flights pleasant and enjoyable.
I've been on many flights where there are 1 or 2 that feel they are above the rest, but like in any customer service position, you deal with the different personalities the best you can-----and evidentally, that is the reason why US Airways employed you and brought you back to life. And God willing, US Airways will survive!!!!

So, to all the F/A's out there--no matter what airline, I think you deserve the respect for the position and I wish you all the best!
