NEW YORK, July 3 (Reuters) - US Airways Group Inc., (U) said on Wednesday that PSA Airlines, its fully-owned subsidiary, has reached tentative deals with its unionized pilots and flight attendants to help in US Airways' restructuring efforts.
PSA Airlines, one of several smaller carriers that make up US Airways' Express service, said the tentative agreements covered about 250 pilots and 130 flight attendants.
Any deal would be contingent on the involvement of all of PSA's workers in its parent airline's restructuring, US Airways said.
US Airways is working to slash costs on a widespread basis and resurrect its operations. The Arlington, Virginia-based airline has asked for $950 million in concessions from its labor unions, and has reached tentative agreements on some concessions with its flight attendants and dispatchers.
PSA Airlines, based in Dayton, Ohio, runs flights in the Midwest region of the United States and into nearby states.
