Take a look at this letter, written by Pam Hook, a PIT-based f/a with 26 years seniority. http://www.afausairways.org/PIT/dave_ltr.html

Also, read PHL-LEC President, Mollie McCarthy's reasons of why you should vote "AGAINST" the Tentative Agreement. http://www.afausairways.org/PHL/newsline70.htm

Yesterday, I went to the roadshow in LGA . AFA had their financial advisors and attorneys present. Members of the negotiating committee were also present.
They gave a really good presentation.
In regards to the TA, yes there are paycuts. We will get the same per diem rate and deadheading pay, that remained intact. the company wanted to reduce both per diem and deadheading pay, but we got to hold onto that. There is the likelihood that we will have a PPO for our health coverage.
Our negotiation committee has the intent to get the company to agree to offer a Volutary Separation Incentive Package(VSIP). It would include a fixed number of passes based on years of service.
Everyone has the right to vote their conscience on the TA; after all, it is one member, one vote that is what union democracy is all about.
We will be voting on the TA soon.
