I just noticed the last two months since we have had Dave Siegal as our CEO, at least in the monthly column he puts the spotlight on a front-line employee. That is great. I am glad that a front-line employee gets the spotlight. It is very deserving of us to get this honer. After we are the ones who go the extra mile for our customers everyday despite going against all odds all the time in regards to having past CEOS with failed business plans, the challenges the travelling public faces in regards to air travel post September 11, a lackluster economy, and etc. , etc. . Despite that we have dedicated employees who go the distance everyday for our customers who choose US Airways.
At least the new monthly column is an improvement from when we had Stephen Wolf grinning at us and talking about saving the rain forests, feeding the hungry, making america literaterat, aandything else that had nothing to do with ensure that US Airways had a viable business plan to make a really good comeback in the marketplace. There is another forum for the environment and education. It is great to talk about that, but has someone forgot that 11,000 of our employees got furloughed, if you want to talk about the threat of folks here in America becoming dangerously close to going hungry or becoming homeless.
With the new column that spotlights one of our front-line employees, it is a new day. No more having Stephen Wolf grin at us and talking about hugging trees.
