SFO - Restaurant Voting

It's time to pick where we want to have dinner on 9/7 in SFO! Only members who have signed up to attend the meeting are eligible to vote. That list is now closed.

Here's how to get your vote registered:

1. If you haven't already done so, please read the thread titled, "SFO Restaurant Ballot" in The Meeting Place forum. It has all of the information on the restaurants you're voting on.

2. Once you've decided your selection, send me an E-Mail with your choice. As the subject heading, please put "SFO Vote", so I will know it's your vote, and not a question, etc. on the meeting itself.

If for some reason the E-Mail comes back to you as "Undeliverable", then you can PM me with the same heading and information.

3. I will send you a reply that will give you information on where I'll be in SFO, and how you can contact me while I'm there. That will be your confirmation that I have received and recorded your vote.

This will be the only way you will be able to vote. Please don't post any votes here, as they will not be recorded.

Our Choice: There are 29 members listed as "Definite". I'm hoping that at least 15 votes are cast, since that will be a majority of the attending members.

Basically, the restaurant that gets the most votes wins.

I will vote last, so if there is a tie, I'll be the tie-breaker. If 15 votes are not cast, then I'll make the final decision of restaurant. Since I know 18 of us are confirmed for sure, I really don't think that will be a problem, but just in case there is, we're prepared.

I will notify everyone of our choice through the E-Mail list crewstart set up for me. If you need to change your address, please send an E-Mail to webmaster@crewstart.com. Paul tells me that simply updating your profile will not be sufficient, because the email has to be sent manually by the webmaster account.

The polls are now open! Voting will end at 12:30 P.M., U.S. Central Time, on Saturday, August 17 (a week from today). This gives everyone time to be able to vote, given all of our busy schedules. images/icons/smile.gif

One thing to add here. If your status changes from "Maybe" to "Definite" during the voting process, and you vote, I'll record your vote.

The same applies if your status changes from "Definite" to either "Maybe" or you ask me to take your name off the list during this time. I won't record your vote.

So far, the restaurants getting the most votes are "Firewood", "Bubba Gump Shrimp Company", and "Chevy's". That's not in any particular order - that's just the places getting the most votes.

I never got a chance to vote, but I really don't care, as long as there alcohol, food, men, DXVixen, bridget74, and all the str8 fun guys (fettie, studley, traveler, etc) I am happy as pie images/icons/grin.gif

Jetboy... I think the voting is open till the 17th... Last I checked, Studley has a link at the bottom of every one of his posts that will take you to the restaurant vote...

You just have to e-mail him per his instructions and you're all done!

Only one full day remains in the voting process. I still need more votes to get us to at over half of the "Definite" members attending.

So far, only 11 votes have been cast. The minimum number is 16.

If this number is not reached, then I will choose the restaurant.

I have talked several people who were undecided, and had not yet voted. This number would get the votes over the minimum, but I have not received anything as yet from them.

Less than two hours remain in the voting process. There is still time to vote if you have not done so.

After the polls close, I will send you an E-Mail on where we're going to meet for dinner. I'll also send the menu via E-Mail, or send you a PM with the information, so you can choose what you want to eat. I'll need the information ASAP after you receive it, so I can tell the restaurant what we need.

Also, if you haven't already told me if you're bringing guests or not, I need to have that information as well, as this affects the size of the group.
