Lufthansa's catering unit LSG Key Chefs will sign an agreement next week to take over collapsed Belgian airline Sabena's catering assets, a trustee for Sabena was quoted as saying.
"It (an agreement) exists and it will be signed next week," Christian Van Buggenhout, one of the trustees appointed by a Belgian commercial court to oversee the sale of Sabena's assets, told financial television channel Kanaal Z. He said the agreement would be signed on June 30. Buggenout said he did not anticipate any problems in obtaining regulatory approval for the sale.
Sabena's catering business had more than 1,000 staff, it served 12 million meals and handled 92,000 flights in 2000.
