the tv programme followed the construction of this airbus from the beginning until the first flights in 9 episodes made in 1998/99. There is also a maus next to the front door.

"Die Sendung mit der Maus" is in fact an absolute cult classic. The best there's ever been in terms of children's TV! It's been around for more than 25 years now, and many of us grew up with it. Of course we had Sesame Street and stuff too, but "Die Maus" always was special. Even adults enjoy watching it - they have a way of taking their young audience seriously that's just wonderful.
The core feature of the programme are the "Sachgeschichten" - short films on how things are made, how scientific processes work, etc. They are often things that even adults don't know about (and can learn interesting new things from), but explained in such a way that a 4-year-old can follow. Even in my FA training, we were shown an episode on champagne production!
That's why I'm really pleased with and proud of the D-AIRY design!!!

What happened to this cute little fella?
I flew on this A321 once when I flew home from the Costa Brava (bcn) to Frankfurt, and noticed the maus.
Any more pix, or background to the mouse?

Right, I have a very teeeeny bit of info on "Die Maus"
Airbus A321, D-AIRY, was painted with the "Die Maus"-sticker next to the rear door. Note also the small mouse next to the front door.
"Die Maus" is from" "die Sendung mit der Maus," - a famous children's TV program in Germany has shown (for about two years) how this aircraft has been manufactured. That's why this sticker is on this aircraft...

I really love die Maus plane, but, did not know whether it was still flying.
"Die Sendung mit der Maus" is supposed to be a classic, ranked among Sesame Street as a leading show for kids!

I saw the plane several times on different aprons in Europe... it remembered me of my early TV days where I watched Die Sendung mit der Maus. I liked it a lot more than Sesame Street...
Even recently when I was at standby and my tv set was on, it happened to me to watch it. It is a great programme... images/icons/smile.gif

Lufthansa has introduced a new cartoon character called Lu.
He or she now adorns the rear of an Airbus a
A319.
Lu is the mascot of the Lufthansa kids program, and he stands for, according to LH execs "yummy food, fun and games in flight"
What d'yall think?
