Currently parked up at LBA is the first Channel Express 737 in Jet2 colours (very nice it looks too apparently).
Should be doing a few circuits for the cameras to coincide with the booking system and www.jet2.com (http://www.jet2.com) going live at 10:00am this morning.
Destinations are:
Amsterdam
Barcelona
Malaga
Milan - Bergamo
Nice
Palma
Looking forward to seeing the new livery in person.

The Jet2 website is quite informative, but I cannot find any pictures of the new livery anywhere!
Do any of you know if you have any, or where the 'planes for Jet2 are currently parked?

Hi Ryanair.
At the moment, I'm not quite sure what is happening with Jet2!
The four Boeing 737-300 aircraft being used for the aircraft are being transferred from parent company Channel Express, and are being used at present on ChannEx routes, or parked up at STN or LBA I've been told.
Also, I've been told the aircraft has grey and red interiors and exteriors and the uniforms will be the no-frills signature "casual-but-smart" type also in red and grey.
But, no pictures!
Sorry

Hi! I have been offered a job with Jet2 the uniform I had to try on was navy blue, smart - the same as the Channel Express ones. I think this is because we will be doing flights for both Jet2 and Channel Express.

UK budget start-up Jet2 unveils initial network
UK budget start-up carrier Jet2 has unveiled an initial network of six destinations which it plans to begin
serving from Leeds/Bradford Airport early next year.
The new airline intends to operate twice-daily to Amsterdam, and daily to five other European destinations:
Barcelona, Malaga, Nice, Palma, and Bergamo outside Milan.
Another one or two destinations could be added to the list this winter.
Jet2 is being set up by UK aviation services company Dart Group and expects to begin phasing in the
network from February 2003. All six routes should be established by the Easter holiday period in April.
Dart Group's Bournemouth-based operator Channel Express is to provide Jet2 with two Boeing 737
aircraft. The new carrier plans to acquire another two of the type from other sources.
