Wow !!
Don't everyone post at once.
Ryanair, I think the idea of this forum was a very good one. However I would like to express why I feel it is not going to be deluged with posts.
I flew over 100,000 miles this past year on just one airline as a paid pax. I also flew on several other airlines as a pax and as a non-rev. I find it difficult to come here and posts the negatives that I had experienced. It is because of friends that I have made on here and do not feel good about making remarks that would not reflect well on their respective companies.
I think running an airline is like a massive ballet and invariably someone in the cast is bound to slip or fall. With that in mind, I would not like to make comments that would reflect badly on any specific company.
I do have lots of stories that I can share although I would prefer to reveal them without all the details of whom and what company made my trip so memorable.
Good luck with whatever decision you make in continuing this forum.
Regards,

Okay,,, I take it all back.
I flew on Southwest the other night and had a blast!!!
I haven't laughed so hard on a flight in over 10 years.. come to think of it ... that was the last time I flew Southwest... to the crew of flight 1868 tuesday night.. thanks for a great time and thanks for the two services on a 37 minute flight and thanks for the two beachballs I won playing pirate trivia.
regards,
ringo !

I know what you mean. I was ready to post a rather negative review of a certain European low-cost carrier here the other day... when it occured to me that I know crew members of said airline on this board. And even if I pointed out that my dismal was more with the ground staff, still - well, nobody likes to read that people don't like their airline. I read someone slagging off Lufthansa ground staff on another forum the other day, and I immediately felt defensive (although I usually slagg them off myself...).

Hi Guys.
Obviously I can understand what you're talking about.
Before we had the new No-Frills airlines forum, we did have certain members of no-frills airlines bitching with the BA crews.
The new forum is, as with all forums just for a bit of discussion. We'd like to see as many good reccomendations or comments about your recent flights, similar to my Crew Tips and Trips forum, where we discuss most other travel-related issues.
We're going to see how things go, and hopefully we can get some good discussions going.
Of course, you could always blank the name out or replace it with something like Rene Foss' WAFTI!
Thanks

Ryanair, maybe if everyone used "Acme" or "ABC" or "The Airline" to keep the Airline Anonymous? Just an idea.

I think that's what Ryanair might be trying to say here.
Do go into detail about your route, airplane type etc. but give it a different, unobvious name like WAFTI, WAFTI Lite or WAFTI EXpress, but so it's different!
If we did that, I'm sure more people would feel at ease posting.

Hey Guys.
Come to think of it, you're probably right! I posted my post on my recent travel experience with Virgin Atlantic, I was pleased with the service and therefore posted a good review, but I can see the need to be anon.
So what is the code?
WAFTI = mainline
WAFTI Lite = no-frills by mainline
WAFTI Express = regional by mainline

US AIR folks are just great folks... Snack svc. on 737 and A321 equipment nice and clean, no complaints.
Besides great crews, I have to tell you about excellent destination if you want to stay on the Gulf Mexico Beaches
out of Tampa/St. Petersburg. The hospitality and atmosphere of the cottages/apartments that are run by Deanna Dye
are really excellent.
I stayed at "The Beach Flower" in Madierra Beach - there are others that Deanna manages ("Arbors Seaside") but
the surprise I got was really cool.
The two room efficiency type place had a heck of a lot more to it - it had everything.... It was decorated like a Jungle
Scene (mine was called the "Jungle Oasis") and it had everything you would think you would need - it was like having
my own second home in Florida...
Deanna invited me to get togethers - I made one with other Guests up at the "Arbors" and we had a nice barbecue
dinner and just relaxed...
So - for info - contact Deanna Dye at 1-800-873-0224. She is a very cool and special person - she will make your
stay in Florida one you will remember.
I walked out right on to the beach every morning, it was just cool.
Next year I'll be back there... Just amazing.
