Dargal screwed up my Disney Cruise, royally! Get everything in writing if you use them.

There really is no reason to go through an interline agency to get a good rate on a cruise. The industry is in an over-capacity situation and all the lines are offering fantastic fares to the general public that were unheard of several years ago. ($499 for a week in the Caribbean???) Find a CLIA-member (Cruise Lines International Association) travel agency that sells a lot of cruises and use their resources and expertise. Interline cabins are "dumped" by the cruise lines because they are cabins that are otherwise difficult to sell (i.e. they are over the diso with the throb, throb of the bass keeping you awake half the night...or they are under the galley, where huge metal carts begin rolling around at 5 a.m. as breakfast for 2,000 is being prepared...or they are next to the huge steel doors in the ship's hull that are SLAMMED opened and rigged with the steel accommodation ladder as the ship approaches port every morning...) Get the picture?

I worked in sales for two cruise lines and I can assure you a good travel agent will know how to match you with an appropriate ship and itinerary, and get you the best cabin available for the price. Personally, after more than 75 cruises on dozens of lines, I would recomment for a mid-priced cruise, award-winning Celebrity Cruises. Competitive fares, beautiful, quality-built ships (teak decks instead of astro-turf...), and a sterling reputation in the industry for their service and cuisine. Superior in every way to their competitors; Holland-America, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Lines and Disney. As for the "K-Mart of the Caribbean", Carnival Cruise Lines, don't even consider them unless a beer-belching contest by the pool is your idea of a good time.
