Looks like it is finally going to happen. Here's to new flights and new friends.
RE: INTERMINGLING
January 9, 2003
Dear Colleagues,
The successful ratification of the collective agreement means it is now time for us to move forward and intermingle the crews from both components. While there is always some trepidation with such transitions, it is my belief that the vast majority of us are more than ready to ‘move on’ and get to the work of establishing one team and securing our future together.
There is no doubt that the events and issues of the last two years have created ‘out of the ordinary’ challenges to us on both a team and individual level. As part of the process of putting a the past behind us, we will be moving forward as quickly as practically possible to complete intermingling and enable us all to focus on a successful future. With that in mind, our target date for full intermingling is March 1, 2003.
Let me be the first to say thank you to all of our Flight Attendants for the great job you have done over these past years. We have faith that you will continue to do so in the coming weeks and months.
Over the coming weeks, we will be rolling out our intermingling plan. In-Charge Flight Attendants will receive a special integration briefing at their mandatory In-Charge Meetings this February and I encourage all of you to take advantage of any or all of the offered support services during intermingling. Feel free to ask questions. We will do our best to answer them and guide you through the process.
In my 12 months with the Branch, I have found our Flight Attendant team to be highly professional. I have every confidence that continued approach and attitude will guide us successfully through this transition period.
Keep an eye out for more news in the near future.
Regards;
