Hey,
I'm trying to figure out where to stay in the Cortina/Arraba area. Basically, Arraba seems like an awfully nice place (small, scenic and quiet, but with easy lift access)). But now I've been offered a VERY cheap deal from a hotel in Rocca Pietore, a tiny place near the Marmolada. It's basically a better hotel AND cheaper than the best deal I could find in Arraba. They also have free transport to the pistes, so I'm tempted. Only, I don't have a car and will have to rely on public transport/ cabs/ the hotel shuttle. Is the better hotel worth the inconvenience of being 'in the sticks', or should I prioritise for the more convenient location in Arraba? Also, has anyone been to Rocca P. and knows what it's like?
