Getaway Ideas

Hi all. Just wondering if amidst all this serious talk if anyone could share some ideas for a small vacation. My criteria is -- something from a few days - weekend to maybe 4 or 5, something romantic would be nice, could be a hot place or a cold place, and of course price is the ultimate - I'm looking for something very affordable.

I'd also like to consider a weekend type getaway at some quaint lodge/cottage in a cottage country type setting (ensuite fireplace mandatory!! lol).

Anyhow, if anyone could give me some ideas - I'd love to hear them!

Not quite cottage country, however, this one place I'd like to try...Tofino, Vancouver Island. In the winter, they have storm watching advertized. I can't remember which hotel exactly, but, I'm sure if you look on the net, you will find the one to your taste. I think storm watching could be very "romantic/exciting"... :blush:
