I'm going to be flying into TPA on March 7, and need a car for fri-sun (7-9th) so I can go visit friends. I need to know if any car rental places give discounts to airline employees, preferrably those that have the Neverlost system, as I need to go to ORL from Clearwater, and REALLY don't want to get lost.. Anyway, I need to know ASAP, (I'd preferr to get the car in Clearwater..)
Anyway, TTYL :smile_2:
Thanks

Chris, try Dollar, Alamo or Thrifty, most of the car rentals offer airline employee discount. Or if you are definite about your plans, book thru Priceline. However once you've booked it, you won't receive a refund if you decide to cancel. I've gotten some great rates for 5 stars hotels and car rental. Good Luck!

I believe Hertz is the only company with the satellite navigation systems. They're usually more expensive (even as far as airline rates go), but it definitely is worth the extra cash if you don't want to have to be stuck reading maps for hours.
Good luck. :smile_2:

Well, I made the calls and the only company that will rent to me without a credit card is Budget.. They have an office near where I am staying in Clearwater as well, so I guess that will work.. $120 for fri-sat-sun (returning sunday) with all taxes and fees.. including a $40 under 25 fee.. I'd really have preferred to go with Hertz and the Neverlost, but I guess it is not in the cards.. grrrrr..
Thanks for the adivce, if you can think of more, I'll definately take it into consdieration :smile_2:

You might want to check and see if Ryan has a corporate account with any car company in particular. I know before I was 25, the airline I was flying for had a program through National. I fly for United now and they have a program through Hertz. You only have to be 21 because its covered under the corporate contract.
Not having a credit card is gonna be an issue though. These companies usually won't rent to you without some kind of cash deposit in lieu of the card.
Good luck!
