I know one tip is to do this:
Get a plastic cup,
put two packets of sugar,
some lemon
(vodka if any)
and rub it all over your hands for 1 minute...
rinse with club soda.
TADAAA! soft hands!
Another Method:
take vasiline,
rub on hands, make sure you rub in your nails...
put some plastic gloves on, secure the wrist area with rubber bands
and presto!
If you didn't pull them off while you were sleeping you will have baby soft hands!
anyone else know of any good creams or methods?

I just read somewhere "flight attendants use vaseline on their hands for moisture".
OK. Only at night I would presume...
how else are you going to open a pop can?
anyone has a hand moisturizer they just love?

I got one of those parafin wax thingies for Christmas...nice, but it takes forever to melt the wax - and I'm not convinced yet that its really making my skin softer.

I flew with one girl who brought the little soaps from the hotel each morning and kept it in the cup in the galley. She said the lav soap dried her hands out.

ok Vitamin E and Aloe Vera cream are great for dry hands, even for sunburnt skin.
I discovered Emu Cream (Yes you read right, Emu cream) and let me tell you that is fantastic, it leaves your hands soft and just like vitamin e and aloe vera it doesnt leave your hands oily.
For cracked lips just put some vaseline on the overnight and you will see the difference its made in the morning, it leaves your lips soft. If you dont feel like using lipstick opt for the vaseline instead, its a great lip gloss and i carry a little tin with me everywhere :smile_2:

I remember hearing as a kid that the ladies with the smoothest hands were the daughters of farmers. Why you might ask? Simple - the young ladies milked the cows and the cream from the cows softened their hands. Of course I haven't a clue as to the validity of such a statement.
But allow me to once again recommend a cream that I have found to be beyond belief when it comes to healing dry, chapped hands as well as ensuring a lasting silky softness. None other than AHAVA hand cream. It comes from Israel and has a unique fragrance that is good for both male/female (not a girly smell). This stuff is fantastic and if I were in business for selling it, I would personally guarantee it. (I'm not in the business by the way.)

Cucina collection - Fruits&Passion.
Nutrix - Lancome, really rich cream and smells pretty good! You will never use Vaseline again after that!
Creme pour les mains au Karite - L'Occitane en Provence.
Nivea cream.
If not, the easiest is to use olive oil :smile_2:

Sephora and bath and Body works both sell these blue golves that are lined with a gel that helps your hands absord moisture. They also sell the moisturized but I suppose you could use any fairly thick one. Wear them at night or on crew rest, you may look like a mime but they work!
Also, my dermatoligist told me to make sure that when you apply moisturizer make sure your skin is wet. Moisturizer merely helps to hold in moisture, not provide it so you need a bit of water to begin with. Apply it after showering/bathing but before drying off and it makes a huge difference.
