Flight Attendants and Sleep Apnea
Hi,
I'd love to hear from anyone who knows if Sleep Apnea is something that would disqualify me from being able to become a flight attendant, which has been my dream since childhood.
FYI - SA is a sleep disorder that requires the nightly use of a portable airflow machine called a CPAP. This machine is portable, weighing approx 3 lbs, and is about the size of a loaf of bread. I would need to bring this with me for all overnight stays. There are no other health concerns associated with this disorder that should disqualify me.
When you answer, I'd be interested in knowing which airlines you think would be okay with this, as it will help me narrow my options, and also if you actually know anyone who works as a FA who has SA.
Thanks!

If you phone any prospect airlines and find out what their stance is on it. If you are doing really long haul flights and you have to rest, can it be plugged in in flight?
Good Luck on finding out and wish you luck! X
